The Company

São Paulo, 1981 VIDECOM – VÍDEO COMUNICAÇÕES DO BRASIL is launched into the market as an independent video production company to develop corporate, institutional, cultural productions and TV programs, undertaking the provision of professional services
and video equipment rentals.

The production of features films is one of the company's recent activities and a significant investment was channeled to Walter Hugo Khouri’s "Paixão Perdida" (Lost Passion) movie. Khouri's is one of the most famous Brazilian director's with 25 films produced and many international awards.

The film has its premiere in the Brazilian movie theaters in April,1999 and was released for television and video in 2000.

From the year 2000 and on the company has improved it's activities in multimedia and DVD and started in 2002 a new film project.

Under the supervision of the three partners: Alberto Baumstein, with an advertising and graphic arts career, Renato Sacerdote with a video producer background and Fabio Baumstein a systems engineer, the company's enduring purpose is to offer global solutions in the communication area to it's clients.

To this date VIDECOM has rendered services to more than 680 companies, 100 advertising agencies and to at least 250 commercial and video production houses.
In the business and corporate areas, among others are training programs carried out for Hewlett-Packard, corporate videos for Bank Boston as well programs for Motorola cell phones and radio areas. From the script creation to the post-production, VIDECOM works with some of the best professionals from the market to create efficient corporate videos.

Moreover, besides production, the company has a department to render technical services and a center for professional equipment rentals.
Namely, some of the services included are: non-linear editing with edit* software, multiformat linear editing, Super-8 and 16 mm telecine transfers, Standard Conversions for any TV system (Pal, Secam, Pal-M, NTSC etc.) and DVD authoring.
In relation to the equipment rentals VIDECOM offers BETACAM or DVCAM camcorders, ENG or EFP recording units, monitors, TV projectors, microphones, tripods, lighting devices and others (read more about our services in Videoproduction).

Under the supervision of one of the company associates Ricardo Baumstein the production of holograms (today directed to research) was also included among VIDECOM's activities and undertaken in a fully equipped laboratory.
Holography had been one of Moyses Baumstein most cherished obsessions and it will be important to consider that VIDECOM was founded by this artist, holographer and film maker, capable of imprinting his own seal of originality and sense of humor on his achievements.
Moyses has been a remarkable figure in São Paulo's cultural scene, a multimedia artist that produced numerous works in different activity areas from fine arts to S-8 films.
